Each Citizen has 4 stats derived from their NFT trait rarity. Rarer traits = higher stats.

Game Modes
Solo Clash (1v1)
Pick one Citizen. Battle CPU opponents in escalating difficulty (1-5 stars). Win to advance — your Citizen stays, opponent gets stronger. AI adapts at higher difficulty: counters your patterns at level 4+.
Team Clash (3v3)
Pick 3 Citizens. They fight sequentially — when one falls, the next steps in with carry-over HP + 15% heal. Swap fighters mid-combat (costs a turn).
Online PvP
Battle real players in real-time. Both players choose actions simultaneously — server resolves. 30s matchmaking timeout auto-switches to AI. Powered by Colyseus.
LiveDaily Challenge
Same Citizens and opponents for everyone each day (seeded by date). Scores are comparable across all players. Resets at midnight Eastern.

matchup = Win 1.5x | Draw 1.0x | Lose 0.3x
defense mitigation = 1 - (defenderDef / 500)
speed bonus = clamp(1 + (atkSpd - defSpd) / 400)
variance = +/- 10%
final = max(1, base * matchup * mitigation * speed * variance)
HP = 100 + floor(defense * 0.5). Rounds last 4-8 turns typically.
Owned vs Borrowed Citizens
Owned (Holders)
Connect your wallet to play with your actual GVC NFTs. Their real trait rarity determines combat stats — rare traits = stronger Citizens. Set one as your profile picture. Build and save teams for Team Clash.
Borrowed (Free Play)
No wallet? No problem. Play with random borrowed Citizens with base-level stats. Great for practice, but you won't have the holder advantage.
$VIBESTR Token Tiers
Hold $VIBESTR tokens for real gameplay advantages. Your tier is determined by your on-chain balance, checked automatically when you connect your wallet.

ELO Rating
Online PvP matches use the ELO rating system. Starting rating: 1000, K-factor: 32. Win against higher-rated players to gain more ELO. Your ELO is shown on your profile and the leaderboard.

Profile & Wallet
Connect your Ethereum wallet via RainbowKit. The GVC ecosystem automatically resolves your Twitter/X handle and ENS name. Choose a custom username and set any owned GVC as your profile picture. Your match stats, win streaks, and scores are tracked locally.
